Proposal
In this autoethnography I will explore the population demographics of the Emory students either attending any dance related classes or clubs and will try to answer the question of why this performing arts field is dominated by females even though the program advertises to both males and females. The film will include insight from these dancers about the issues of gender roles and sexuality in dance. Furthermore, I will discuss how the deeper problem is rooted in what society in general has been advertising about gender roles in this field and how it still influences students despite Emory's attempt to appeal to both genders.
