Allison Carr
Allison is a sophomore at Emory. She started dance for fun and because she enjoyed how it helped release emotions. She has been taking classes at Emory and has performed with the Emory Dance Company. She is inspired by Travis Wall because she loves the creativity of his choreography. She plans to continue dancing after college, mostly for recreational purposes.
Emma Buckland Young
Emma is a freshman at Emory and is originally from Seatle. She started dancing ballet and tap at the age of three because her parents encouraged her. Now she dances ballet, modern, and some jazz. Emma has danced with Dance Fremont for 10 years and is currently with Danceworks. She is planning on double majoring in classics and dance and hopes to continue dancing professionally after college.
James La Russa
James is a sophomore at Emory University. He has been dancing since he was 2 years old, moving into the pre-professional division when he was nine. He has danced with the Atlanta Ballet, Orlando Ballet, Boston Ballet, and Australian Ballet and has been in many shows, including the Nutcracker, Snow White, Pinocchio, and Peter Pan. In college, James started to explore other forms of dance, mainly hip-hop and modern, while continuing to dance ballet with the Emory Dance Company. In 2013, he received the Friends of Dance Scholarship from Emory to dance in Sorrento, Italy. James plans to take 3 years off before going to Veterinary School to dance professionally after college.
